Afternoon on the Union Terrace

This is, in fact, the greatest place in the greatest city in the world. A total of 10 pictures from a lazy late afternoon on the Memorial Union Terrace from Sept. 13, 2007:

Water levels are running just a little bit high. A couple of Hoofers take to the lake. The sun begins to set on Lake Mendota.
A duck floats on by. Sailors take in the last hues of daylight. The sun sets over a pier on Lake Mendota.
People relax at the end of another pier near the Union. The sun sets through the clouds over Lake Mendota. An interesting aquatic juxtaposition.

    nothing can quite compare to the terrace in the fall….

    The first warm spring day on the Terrace comes pretty close, or maybe that first day of the year that the brat stand is open :-)
